Nanny in NYC

A modern day Mary Poppins

A great site to check out every once and a while is PostSecret, an ongoing community art project where people mail in their secrets anonymously on one side of a homemade postcard.

They are sometimes funny, sometimes frightening, but always entertaining. This one, I think, is a good example of all three of those qualities:

I found this one there today and thought, in keeping with my breastfeeding themed rants, I'd include it for all of you:

I've never lactated in my life (thank god, really, it would be very inexplicable and rather inconvenient!) but I feel I understand the sentiment perfectly.

Postsecret rocks! Nothing better than public anonymous confessions:) Oh and "Ms Maldonado" can take a flying leap - but only after she takes some spelling lessons!

I work as a live-in nanny in Bedford Hills NY. My boss doesn't know anything about caring for her twins daughters. She's glued to her phone 24 hrs a day seven days a week. She's separated from her husband and she wants everyone to hate him just because she does. She's very inconsiderate. I miss Thsnksgiving with my family just because of her poor planning. I can't wait to find a new job.

Why don't rich families pay their nanny well? Their kids are in every activities, and their nannies get paid peanuts. Shame shame on you:(

Wow!! I saw my ex-boss on the New York Post accused of not paying her driver over-time and accused of trying to seduce her dog trainer. She fired me because she was jealous that her two kids were attached to me instead of her (I used to be her kids nanny). It's a small world. She reaped what she sow. Mistreating her employees while they are making her life easy, thinking they are beneath her. She should be careful and watch the movie "The Help", she might get one of Minnie's famous pie.

Oh oh oh my compulsive, bipolar, lying boss is a big cheat. She hides her valuables, then claims her housekeepers steal them. Afterwards she will call her insurance company to make a claim. Then within a few weeks after getting her money, she finds her lost jewelry. Some of us finally realized what she was doing. We couldn't believe it. Shame on you PB from Westchester County.
